Aniimo tier list title card with two Aniimo

Aniimo tier list: every Aniimo ranked for patch 1.1

This Aniimo tier list ranks 88 Aniimo in two grids. The first grid holds the 51 final stages, the Aniimo you keep for the rest of the game. The second grid, Early game, ranks the 37 pre-evolutions against each other, because a Basic Form next to a finished Ultimate in the same row tells you nothing.

The short answer to "what is the best Aniimo" sits in S tier: Fulmintis, Irisalis and Thornblade for damage, Blazen and Tubster for BREAK, Glacy and Gracewing for healing, Turbo and Luminelle for support. None of them wins a fight alone, and a team of four damage dealers loses to a balanced one, which is why the best Aniimo list and the best team list are two different pages. For full teams, see our Aniimo team comps.

How the ranking works

This is the general PvE list for story, open-world and Dungeon teams where you can use a creature's full kit. For the slot-one and bench-assist rules of Chaos Egg Heist, use the separate Chaos tier list.

  • S carries a team on its own and has no weak spot a teammate cannot cover.
  • A is strong in the right team. It needs one thing to go right: the right element next to it, or a partner covering its weak side.
  • B does its job, but a higher pick in the same role does it better.
  • C is situational. It needs a setup the game rarely hands you, such as one element or one partner on the field.
  • F is the pick to skip. Something else does the same job with more.

The game gives every Aniimo one of five roles, and each role is ranked on its own job:

  • DPS deals the damage. What counts is burst, and how long it takes to get there.
  • BREAK fills the enemy's BREAK gauge and puts it into the Break State, the window your damage dealers wait for.
  • Support buffs your side or weakens theirs.
  • Heal keeps the active Aniimo standing.
  • REGEN gives energy back, so the rest of the team can cast more often.

Inside each role, five things move an Aniimo up or down: what its skills and trait do, how long it needs to set up, how much energy it costs, whether it only works with one element, and how hard it is to get. A pick that needs ten seconds of stacks, or only works next to one element, ranks below a pick that works straight away in any team.

Every rank starts from two official sources. The first is Pawprint's own Roster Recommendation on the official guide portal, which names 22 Aniimo across its beginner, advanced and endgame teams. The second is each Aniimo's kit in the official index at wiki.aniimo.com: stats, trait and skills. A recommendation proves an Aniimo is usable, not that it is strong, so three recommended picks sit below A: the two starters, Helion and Fennelun, and Besauce. Each card says why.

General ranks and cross-site comparisons date from 30 September 2026. The 19 October fact check corrects skill descriptions for Glacy, Hexxin, Besauce, Sherro, Tromber, Leafy and Melloblum against the official index. It is not a new gameplay test or a fresh ranking of all 88 picks. Listed values describe the index's base entry; forms, training and bonded items can change a build.

Other tier lists are a signal, not a source. Where at least two of them agree that an Aniimo belongs higher or lower than we put it, the card says so and names them. Our rank stays where the kit puts it.

Irisalis S

DPS · Grass · 550 · the only Legendary, 130 ATK, clones that heal · The 30 September patch fixed the skill effects of its exclusive held item, Floral Rainbow Feather.

What’s good

  • The only Aniimo flagged Legendary
  • Florae Descent lands at 240 power, the biggest single number in the game, and leaves a clone behind
  • At nine Dance Power its next skill costs half energy and heals nearby allies for 8% of its max HP

What’s not

  • Only from the Legendary Aniipod, crafted from weekly-capped Iris Petals
  • 50 BREAK — it cannot contribute to breaking anything
  • Walking with Irisalis, the Legendary Journey stage that hands out the Iris Petals, ends on 9 December

Early game

Pre-evolutions get their own grid and their own scale. The question here is simpler: how much does this Aniimo help before it evolves, and how good is what it becomes? Bolty, Budsquire, Wisptis, Flutternym, Skippy, Chirpi and Nimbi lead the grid: each one does its future job well before its first evolution.

Budsquire S

DPS · Grass · 428 · Thornblade or Melloblum

What’s good

  • One catch feeds both halves of a grass team — Thornblade for damage, Melloblum for support
  • Already carries Sword Dance, so the basic-attack multiplier works early
  • Thorny Defense gives it a counter stance most early Aniimo do not have

What’s not

  • 428 total; the defensive stance is doing all the work
  • Both branches are grass-locked, so you are choosing a whole team direction here

Where other tier lists disagree

Three public tier lists were checked against this one on 30 September 2026: Mobalytics, GameWith and games.gg. They disagree with each other as much as with us. Besauce, for example, is SS on one of them and A on another.

The clearest split is Inferlupa. Two of the three lists put it at or near the top. We rank it B, because it needs eight basic attacks to reach Full Energy, and that window is short. Dreaple, Eklue and Melloblum also sit one tier higher elsewhere. Hexxin goes the other way: our September list puts it at A for control and energy support, while two lists rank it near the bottom.

Aniimo we have not ranked

Ten Aniimo are left out on purpose: Bubbeep, Cheekie, Coraliz, Gachapus, Glameep, Malangel, Malevsera, Popapus, Reefish and Wavwal. None of them is in the official index or the in-game Aniilog, and the only numbers for them are from before launch. Ranking them on those numbers would be guessing. They join the list once Pawprint lists them.

Irisalis and Somniwing are ranked even though the official index leaves them out of its list. Both can be caught in the game, and both have an official index page.

More Aniimo tier lists

This list is the general ranking. Mode-specific lists get their own pages. The first one is the Aniimo Egg Heist tier list, which now separates researched Chaos-PvE mains and bench supports. Stats, skills and forms for every Aniimo on this page are in the Aniimo Dex.

Official index entries checked for this factual update: Glacy, Hexxin / Witchin, Besauce, Sherro, Tromber, Leafy and Melloblum.

FAQ

What is the best Aniimo in Aniimo?

There is no single best Aniimo, because every team needs damage, BREAK, healing and support. The S tier on this list is Fulmintis, Irisalis and Thornblade for damage, Blazen and Tubster for BREAK, Glacy and Gracewing for healing, and Turbo and Luminelle for support.

Is Irisalis worth getting?

Yes. Irisalis is S tier and the only Legendary Aniimo. Its biggest skill lands at 240 power, and its clones heal nearby allies. It comes only from the Legendary Aniipod, crafted from weekly-capped Iris Petals, and the Legendary Journey that hands them out ends on 9 December 2026.

Why are the starters not higher?

Helion and Fennelun are the starters, and the official guide recommends them because every player has one. Their trait pays off when there is no element advantage, which makes them easy to use and limits how strong they get. Both sit in B tier.

Which Aniimo should I skip?

Jawling in the final-stage grid and Helmut in Early game are F tier. Jawling has two skills and Helgon does the same job with more. Helmut is worth keeping only because both of its evolutions, Pawney and Rookey, are A tier.

How often is this tier list updated?

The latest factual corrections were checked on 19 October 2026; the general rankings and community comparisons still date from 30 September. A new patch or a creator's mode-specific result does not automatically establish a new general rank. The Chaos Egg Heist list and team comps page have their own scope and update notes.
