Aniimo Egg Heist tier list: best Chaos mains and supports
Hexxin and Irisalis are the strongest starting points for a Chaos Egg Heist team in the builds reviewed here. Put your main in slot one, then choose three assists for energy, healing, damage or movement. Tromber, Leafy and Somniwing keep appearing in successful setups, but their conditions matter: an ordinary Tromber does not automatically give you the healing shown in an Alpha or bonded build.
This Aniimo Egg Heist tier list covers Season 1's first-half PvE environment, reviewed on 19 October 2026. It separates mains from bench supports, with suggested teams for solo runs and advice for a squad of three. It does not rank Egg Heist PvP or replace the general Aniimo tier list.

How the ranking works
Main means the Aniimo you fight through in slot one. Bench means the job an assist does from slots two to four. An assist's complete overworld kit is not available just because you brought it along. Check its Egg Heist skill, held item and enhanced effects before committing resources.
- S: a strong starting point for a Chaos build, with its conditions met.
- A: a strong alternative or a support that answers a specific need.
- B: usable, but more dependent on the team or harder to justify over the picks above.
These are Crit Pick's research-based recommendations, drawn from the official index, Wurps' October videos, LEWIS' Hexxin guide and its pinned correction, and separately reported player builds. They are not a claim that I have freshly tested every pick. My earlier runs with Glacy, Gracewing, Tubster, Prismana Fulmintis and Stellarys remain part of the history; they do not establish a current Chaos rank on their own.
An Alpha, a bonded held item and a Prismana Form are different things. Where a recommendation relies on an enhanced effect, the card says so. A missing rank means there is not enough current evidence for that position; it does not mean the Aniimo is unusable. Open a card for its use, limitations and source.
The Aniimo Egg Heist tier list: mains and bench supports
Choose a main for slot one, then choose your bench supports for slots two to four. Ranks apply to the selected job, with the conditions on each card. Browse the Aniimo Dex for all creatures, forms and skill texts. These are research-based recommendations; a missing rank is not a low rank.

Mains
Hexxin S
What’s good
- Black Hole Domain gathers enemies for follow-up damage.
- Separate October player reports also use Hexxin as their main.
What’s not
- Positioning and the rest of the roster still matter; it is not an immunity build.

Bench supports
Irisalis S
What’s good
- Grass-main option with Melloblum and Leafy.
- Creator builds also use Irisalis as the damage assist.
What’s not
- The assist setup depends on its bonded item; it is not the same investment as a basic support.

Best Egg Heist team for solo Chaos runs
For a forgiving starting point, use Hexxin main, Somniwing for energy, Glacy for healing, and a flex slot. This setup appears in separate player reports as well as the broader creator discussion. It gives you room to learn enemy attacks before trading your dedicated healer for more damage.
Use Black Hole Domain to gather enemies where your follow-up can hit them. Shard Impact supplies another control tool. Decide which enemies you can safely group rather than pulling every room into one fight. A bad pull does not become a good one because Hexxin has a black hole.
The flex slot can be Irisalis for the damage setup shown in creator guides, Tromber for a crit buff, or Panpanta if travelling safely is your immediate problem. These are alternatives with different costs, not interchangeable copies of one optimal team.
LEWIS demonstrates a more demanding Hexxin / Irisalis / Tromber / Alpha Leafy lineup. His guide uses Heartseeker Pendant on Hexxin and Irisalis' bonded setup for the assist damage. Check those requirements first. His pinned comment corrects the original ATK advice, so do not follow the early training section without reading the correction.
For Hexxin training, the safer conclusion is narrower than “ATK never matters.” The developers explain that non-DPS Aniimo receive a minimum ATK contribution in damage calculations. Investing below that floor may produce no immediate damage gain. They have announced plans to revise the calculation; that announcement is not proof the revision is already live. Do not spend all your resources chasing a stat increase that has not improved your current build.
Irisalis teams and a starter alternative
An established Grass setup is Irisalis main with Melloblum, Leafy and Tromber. Melloblum rewards Grass critical hits. Leafy's field supplies Grass teammates with energy and turns nearby grass into healing terrain. Its off-field trait creates grass after teammate skill casts. This is a team built around interactions, rather than four individually high-ranked Aniimo.
The healing is conditional. Wurps' build notes explicitly require Alpha Tromber or the relevant bonded enhancement for its healing contribution. His Alpha Leafy setups also use enhanced effects for additional ultimate generation. If your ordinary versions do not keep you alive, use Glacy and accept the damage trade-off. A copied roster without the copied item effects is a different build.
You can also run Lunara or Helion main with Irisalis, Tromber and Somniwing. Wurps demonstrates the Lunara version as an ultimate-focused setup, with Irisalis supplying assist damage. That is useful if you want to keep a starter active. The advertised Amplifier savings belong to that particular rotation; they are not a promise that every skill in the team is free. Bring healing if your items and enhanced supports do not provide enough.
What changes when you play as a team of three?
Each player should still check their own main and three assists. The old recommendation to assign one person a tank, one a healer and one a damage dealer was too rigid for these Chaos builds. Agree who gathers enemies, when to use control and ultimates, and when to stop looting.
Do not assume every “team” effect in an overworld skill description covers every player in the raid. Check the assist you actually have equipped. Solo players need their own sustain; a squad should also avoid a plan that only works while somebody else is always in reach to rescue them.
The October 13 developer response discusses improvements to rescues, more suitable Aniimo and additional Chip sources as future work. It does not make those changes available today. The same response explains that more enemies can appear as exploration continues and rare digging can attract dormant Aniimo. Leave enough room in your resources to get out after the loot appears.
Skills, forms and items that change a rank
Tromber's Waltz is not just a Wind-team buff. The current official index lists 27% increased Crit DMG for 20 seconds at zero EP cost. That is the listed skill value, not the final value of every trained, enhanced or item-modified build. Our old card's 17% was outdated. Do not confuse Waltz with Zephyr's Breath, the separate Wind-damage ultimate.
Leafy is more than an emergency ultimate heal. The current index lists Vitality Blooms at 2.4 EP per second for Grass teammates over 12 seconds, plus healing when it upgrades nearby grass. The old Dex text still used the earlier name Blooms of Vigor and 1 EP per second. The Grass requirement is why Leafy fits Hexxin and Irisalis better than an arbitrary non-Grass main.
Sherro can make its own puddle. Hydro Roll creates one when the roll ends, so it is misleading to dismiss Sherro simply because a room has no natural water. Wurps reports a problem with Prismana Slam's Super Armor; treat that as a player-reported issue, not a verified immunity you can depend on.
Hexxin's two debuffs are different skills. The official index lists Malice Burst as reducing subsequent shield values and Oozing Malice as reducing healing received, each by 44% for 20 seconds. Our old tier card mixed the names and used older numbers. Neither debuff is the reason the reviewed PvE builds centre on Black Hole Domain.
Picks still waiting for a current Chaos verdict
The previous page ranked 54 Aniimo from a mixture of early runs and complete-kit descriptions. Giving every one a fresh letter from the same incomplete basis would repeat the problem. The remaining picks stay in the Dex while their current Chaos use is reviewed.
Two checks matter before promoting them: Wurps reports Eklue's assist disappearing on Sanctum entry and Glynsera's ultimate failing to land its full effect. Those reports have not been independently reproduced here. Tubster also illustrates why a creator ranking is not a replacement for testing: Wurps places it low while explicitly saying he has not used it, whereas my earlier runs found value in it. That is a disagreement to investigate, not evidence that either experience never happened.
For skills and forms, open the individual Aniimo Dex entries. For objectives, extraction and rewards, use the Egg Heist guide. Overworld combinations belong to the team composition list.
Sources and update notes
Reviewed on 19 October 2026. This update replaces the September 21 full-kit ranking with a narrower Chaos-PvE list. No new personal gameplay test is claimed. Reported bugs, item requirements and build performance remain attributed to their authors; official index values are not a measurement of every player's in-Heist stats.
- Wurps: Season 1 PvE Chaos Egg Heist tier list, October 18, including the qualifications and final reshuffling near the end.
- Wurps: Lunara main with Irisalis assist, October 6, including the pinned Alpha/bond and healing requirements.
- LEWIS: Hexxin team, October 6, including the author's pinned correction to ATK training. The Irisalis assist idea is credited to Wurps, so these are not wholly independent discoveries.
- Separate player builds, October 4–5 and October 14. These corroborate roster choices, not controlled damage or success-rate measurements.
- Official developer feedback, October 13, especially the damage-calculation explanation and the distinction between current mechanics and planned changes.
- Official index entries checked for Tromber, Leafy, Glacy, Melloblum, Sherro, Panpanta, Besauce and Hexxin, named Witchin there.
FAQ
What is the best Aniimo for Chaos Egg Heist?
Hexxin and Irisalis are the strongest main starting points in the builds reviewed for this update. Choose the main and its assists together: an S rank does not remove the build requirements.
What is a good solo Chaos Egg Heist team?
Hexxin main with Somniwing, Glacy and a flex slot is a practical starting point from separate player reports. Irisalis can fill the flex slot for damage; enhanced Tromber or Alpha Leafy support more specialised setups.
Does Tromber heal without an Alpha or bonded setup?
Do not count on it. The reviewed creator build explicitly requires Alpha Tromber or the relevant bonded enhancement for its healing contribution. Ordinary Waltz and the enhanced healing setup are different things.
Should I invest ATK into Hexxin for Egg Heist?
Do not follow the original ATK allocation in the linked LEWIS video without its pinned correction. The developers explain that non-DPS damage has a minimum ATK contribution, so extra ATK below that floor may not immediately increase damage. That is more precise than saying ATK never matters.
Can I use this tier list for PvP?
This update ranks Season 1 first-half Chaos PvE use. It does not establish a PvP ranking; anti-player utility and other match conditions need their own testing.
Why are some Aniimo no longer given a letter rank?
The earlier list mixed personal early runs with complete-kit descriptions. A current Chaos rank needs evidence for the actual main or bench role. Missing evidence is left unranked rather than turned into a low score.
