How does Infergon evolve?

In the official Aniimo index the line runs Helmwhelp (Lumin Stage) → Helgon or Infergon (Gamma Stage). Where two names share a stage, the line branches: the stage before evolves into one or the other. The index does not say what triggers each step or which branch you get — we will add that from our own playthrough rather than guess.

Is Infergon any good?

Nobody has played the release version yet, so anything about tier lists would be invented.
