Melpaca No. 020
Melpaca is the Neutral-element alpaca at No. 020 — a friendly triple-threat: a ridable ground mount, a Farming worker, and a Ranch Pal that drops Wool. One catch covers movement, base work and your earliest cloth.
Where to catch Melpaca
Melpaca grazes the open grassland of the Windswept Hills and Sea Breeze Archipelago, day or night, usually around levels 5–17. It's placid and easy to approach.
Weaken one and throw a regular Pal Sphere. A low-level Alpha also sits in the Hillside Cavern.
Region: Windswept Hills · Time: day & night · Sphere: regular · Threat: low
Stats & how they vary
Base values before IVs, passives and condensing. A 90/75/90 line is bulky for an early Pal — Melpaca soaks hits well, even if it won't out-damage a real fighter.
Work & drops
Farming Lv 2 — a genuinely useful base job on top of the Wool it drops in the Ranch. A grazing Melpaca quietly feeds two supply chains at once.
Wool for your earliest cloth, plus Leather — and the Wool keeps coming from the Ranch, not just from defeating it.
Partner skill: ride & ranch
Three uses in one placid, fluffy package.

The story of Melpaca
Melpaca ambles through the grasslands with the unbothered calm of something that has never once been in a hurry. It's gentle, endlessly patient, and produces wool faster than it seems to have any use for — which is fortunate, because you have plenty. It'll carry you, work your field and stock your cloth, all at the same unhurried pace.
Paraphrased from Melpaca's in-game Paldeck entry.
Day 5. The Melpaca has the exact energy of a sofa that agreed to help. I mean this as praise.
Day 11. Rode it, farmed with it, sheared wool off it in the Ranch. Getting my money's worth out of one alpaca.
Day 22. It has never once been startled by anything. A raid happened around it. It kept grazing. I aspire to this.
Melpaca, answered
Where do you find and catch Melpaca?
Melpaca grazes the open grassland of the Windswept Hills and Sea Breeze Archipelago, day or night, usually around levels 5–17. It's placid and easy to approach. Weaken one and throw a regular Pal Sphere. A low-level Alpha also sits in the Hillside Cavern.
What does ride & ranch do?
Melpaca can be ridden as an early ground mount once you craft its saddle — a steady, easy first ride.
Is Melpaca good?
Early on, yes, for its role: Farming Lv 2 — a genuinely useful base job on top of the Wool it drops in the Ranch. Its stats are modest, so lean on the partner skill and trade up by midgame.
How do you breed Melpaca?
It has no unique combo — pairs like Cattiva with Direhowl, or Lamball with Snugloo produce it. Breed repeatedly to stack good passive skills onto one you like.
What does Melpaca drop?
It drops Wool and Leather. Wool for your earliest cloth, plus Leather — and the Wool keeps coming from the Ranch, not just from defeating it.
Can you ride Melpaca?
Yes — Melpaca is a solid, docile early ground mount once you craft its saddle. It also farms at base and drops Wool in the Ranch, so it earns its slot three ways.
