Turtacle No. 037
Turtacle is the Water Pal at No. 037 — a turtle that hid its fragile body inside an absurdly tough shell and now has almost nothing underneath it. It is a Common with the highest Defense in this stretch of the dex and a partner skill built for hauling ore.
Where to find Turtacle
Turtacle spawns on the Isle of Decayed Treasures in aggressive groups of two or three, day and night, and is fished from saltwater across much of the map (Windswept Hills, Sea Breeze Archipelago, Forgotten Island, Bamboo Groves, Crescent Moon Shore, Verdant Brook, Sunlit Isle, Frostbitten Isle).
It is a regular encounter in Hillside Cavern and Ravine Grotto, a possible Alpha at the end of the Mountain Stream Grotto, and hatches from a Damp Egg.
Region: Isle of Decayed Treasures / fished · Time: day & night · Threat: aggressive
Stats & how they vary
Melee 100, Shot 75, Support 100, Stamina 100, Running Speed 320, Sprinting Speed 500 (slow — it is a turtle). Rarity value 3. The four displayed stats use Attack = Shot 75. Its 115 Defense is the standout — genuinely tanky for an early Pal — though the lore is quick to point out the shell is the only defence it has. Type matchup. Water is strong against Fire, and weak to Electric — bring an Electric Pal to catch it. Work speed 100 is the series default.
Work & drops
Watering Lv 2 is the useful half — a solid plantation/Ranch waterer — with light Mining and Transporting on the side.
Aquatic Pal Fluids ×1–2 (100%) · Bone ×2–3 (100%). Pal Fluids for recipes, Bone for early crafting and cooking.
Partner skill: Spikey Carrier
Near-weightless ore for base-builders.
Active skills

The story of Turtacle
"To protect its fragile body, it developed an incredibly tough shell. Unfortunately, it's utterly defenseless underneath. Even a little tickle could knock it out cold."
"Mini Fortress" is a joke with a soft centre. Turtacle solved the problem of being fragile by building an unbreakable shell — and in doing so kept a body so defenceless that a tickle can knock it out. Its 115 Defense is real, but it is all shell; the Pal inside is exactly as delicate as it started. A neat little parable about armour that protects everything except the thing that matters, and then you put it to work watering your crops.
Day 16. Fished a spiky turtle out of the shallows. It was furious about it. The shell is genuinely hard.
Day 17. Put it in the party and my ore stopped weighing anything. Between this and the mole, I barely notice hauling now.
Day 20. Watched something tap its underside in a fight and it folded instantly. The Paldeck was not exaggerating about the tickle.
Day 24. Watering Lv 2 at the base, tanking hits in the field (as long as nobody touches the soft bit). A useful, slightly tragic turtle.
Turtacle, answered
Where do I find Turtacle in Palworld?
On the Isle of Decayed Treasures in aggressive groups, day and night, and fished from saltwater across much of the map. It also appears in Hillside Cavern, Ravine Grotto and the Mountain Stream Grotto, or hatches from a Damp Egg.
What does Spikey Carrier do?
While Turtacle is in your party, Ore weight drops 80~100% by level (does not stack) — near-weightless ore hauls. In 1.0 it lightens Ore (it used to lighten armor); it is not a shield skill.
Is Turtacle good?
As a tanky early Pal and a Watering worker with weightless-ore utility, yes — its 115 Defense is high for the tier. Its offence is average and its underside is a liability.
What is Turtacle weak to?
Electric, because of its Water typing.
What does Turtacle drop?
Aquatic Pal Fluids ×1–2 and Bone ×2–3, every time (100%).
Was Turtacle renumbered in 1.0?
Yes — it was No. 148 before Palworld 1.0 and is No. 037 now.
