The story of Tombat
"This Pal often appears out of the blue to flaunt its prized wings in front of other Pals. Though it looks like intimidation, it seems to genuinely just enjoy showing off."
Tombat is a show-off, not a threat: it swoops in to display its wings and, apparently, revels in the attention. Behind the theatrics is one of the more useful early Pals — a Mining Lv 3 workhorse whose Ultrasonic Sensor turns exploration into a guided tour of the nearest loot.
Day 8. A bat-cat that keeps showing up at night just to spread its wings at my Pals.
Day 9. Activated its sensor and it pinged a dungeon I'd have walked right past.
Day 11. Mining Lv 3 — it out-digs everything else I own this early.
Day 14. Solid stats, too: 95/95/80. It holds its own in a fight.
Tombat, answered
Where do I find Tombat in Palworld?
At night in the southern starter zones — the plains around the Plateau of Beginnings and the Sea Breeze Archipelago (Lv 9–12) — with higher-level pockets in the Astral Mountains Cavern. It hatches from a Large Dark Egg.
What does Ultrasonic Sensor do?
Activated, it uses ultrasonic waves to detect nearby dungeons, treasure chests and scrap — an explorer's radar.
Is Tombat good?
Yes — Mining Lv 3 (plus Gathering and Transporting Lv 2) makes it a top early base worker, and its well-rounded 95/95/80 stats hold up in combat.
What is Tombat weak to?
Dragon, because of its Dark typing.
What does Tombat drop?
Leather ×1–2 every time (100%), with a rare (1%) Small Pal Soul.
Was Tombat renumbered in 1.0?
Yes — it was No. 068 before Palworld 1.0 and is No. 052 now.
